Why do gays insist on usurping marriage from God when we have given them civil unions?

Theism calls for an antagonist, so they create one.

From my understanding people are saying that marriage should be between a man in a woman. The word marriage has a religious ring to it.
There for I believe the only thing to do done is leave marriage word to the church, with it’s religious ramifications. However the Civil thing should now be called union, bonding. etc
The term should stand for any union.
Homo or hetro.

Because people are moralist busybodies who feel it is their duty to force others to abide by their morality. They believe that if something offends them they have the right to ban it rather than just minding their own business.

Poor Logical thinking…”God said it was Bad!!” Well, if you TRULY read the Bible, the only reference to Homosexuality is ” A Man shall not lay down with his Brother” My way of thinking is this is an incestuous reference, not a Homosexual one. SO their way of thinking is flawed.

…Our National “motto” says… “In God We Trust”. and God created “one” man and “one” woman, who He joined together… when “someone” trys to go against the Laws of Nature, trys to reverse the “polarity” of life, then chaos reigns. (The Homosexuals are not blocking the freeways yet… but I’m sure it won’t be long. “they” like to “plug-up” everything else)

@P’rushim:
That is exactly why “In God We Trust” should be removed from the dollar bill.

I dont know but I find it offensive for non gays to dictate the life of a homosexual. I am not gay but I can understand how infuriated they are that such laws are being passed to suppress their rights. Its the same as it was 50 years ago when the governments made laws that barred blacks from the same rights as whites. Gays can be Christian as well and they are entitled to the same rights as everyone else. Almost 100% of heterosexual couples that get married in a church are never virgin and/or already have kids out of wedlock. How do these couples live up to the word of God moreso than the homosexuals? Its a double standard and it isnt right.

the question is why do gays want to change the definition of marriage to suit their wants?

We didn”t want to ban it, we did ban it. You just had to keep pushing it, so there. Put on your little shoes and stomp your little feets!

with all the problems in the world today, the last thing on our to do list’s should be worrying what other people do in their private lives.
unless it contains to plotting a murdering spree, or violating a child,
then we need our noses all over their business.
whatever happened to the right to pursue happiness?
they have every right to find love, express their love and even multiply their love, they should be able to add their spouses to life insurance, medical , dental. they should be allowed to have children and adopt.
